Located on the adjacent lot to the main residence, this guesthouse was designed to connect to the existing home's Texas farm vernacular. The inspiration for the guest house was specifically the out buildings on Texas farms. The large overhang was designed using sun angles. During the summer months all sun is blocked from entering and during winter the interior is flooded with sun. The stone wall insulates the home against winter cold.
